Last weekend was the first interaction with the public for the association. We had a presence in Limassol at the St Patrick’s Charity Ball on Saturday 16th March which was organised by the Irish community in Limassol and CIA members and at the St Patrick’s Party at Larnaca Finikoudes Beach on Sunday 17th organised by the Irish Embassy.
Both events went well with all involved having an enjoyable weekend and as a bonus much interest being created in the Association. Likewise on Monday the 18th at the official Irish Embassy St Patrick’s event at the Hilton Hotel the Association had a table in the foyer and committee members spoke to many people during the course of the evening.
The St Patrick’s Charity Ball raised €2706 which was donated to PASYKAF and Vagoni Agapis representing the net proceeds from this year’s St Patrick’s Dinner. The donations were made in the name of CIA.
